It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Boonsboro Warriors had no problem doing just that on Friday. They came out on top against Joppatowne by a score of 20-12. Winning may never get old, but Boonsboro sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Among those leading the charge was Chad Wyand, who rushed for 74 yards and two touchdowns.
Boonsboro has yet to lose a game at home this season, leaving them with a 8-3 record. That said, the team wasn't facing the toughest opposition over that stretch, as it included 2-7 Joppatowne and 3-8 Williamsport (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 27.4% over those games). As for Joppatowne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.
Boonsboro will stay at home for another week and welcome Havre de Grace at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Havre de Grace knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three contests -- so hopefully Boonsboro likes a good challenge. Joppatowne does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
