Century hasn't had much luck against Glencoe recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Jaguars will head out on the road to take on the Crimson Tide at 5:00 p.m.
Century easily dispatched Newberg on Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Jaguars fell just short of Forest Grove by a score of 4-2 on Wednesday. Having soared to a lofty 12 runs in the game before, the Jaguars couldn't push the score so high this time.

Alyssa Loza spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Century saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jessie Henry, who went 2-for-3 with one run.
Meanwhile, while Glencoe put up plenty of runs on Wednesday, the same can't be said for Liberty. The Crimson Tide were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Falcons. Considering the Crimson Tide have won ten contests by more than five runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kalli Farrimond made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit over four innings pitched. Farrimond was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Tuesday Mevis was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Kendyl Mishler was another key player, going 3-for-4 with three doubles and two runs.
Glencoe was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .586. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Glencoe has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season. As for Century, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-14.
Glencoe's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Friday. Century has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 8.6 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Glencoe, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.8 strikeouts. Will Century keep running through batters, or will the Crimson Tide buck the trend?
Century couldn't quite finish off Glencoe in their previous meeting two weeks ago and fell 4-2. Can the Jaguars avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
