Softball Recap: Paoli Has No Trouble Against Austin

Paoli won against Evansville Harrison on Saturday with 14 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Monday. The Rams put the hurt on the Austin Eagles with a sharp 14-4 win. The victory continues a trend for the Rams in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won six in a row.

Kalyn Hannon was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Jae Walker was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Paoli was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .444. They are 3-1 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Paoli's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-11. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Austin, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 7-9.

Looking ahead, Paoli will head out on the road to face off against West Washington at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Senators have averaged an impressive 8.9 runs per game this season. As for Austin, they have already played their next game, a 5-4 loss against Clarksville on the 13th.
