The Eastmoor Academy Warriors scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Briggs 90-38 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Eastmoor Academy has managed all season.
James Nowell was his usual excellent self, going 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 30 points and 0 assists. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. King Moody was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
The win (which was Eastmoor Academy's third in a row) raised their record to 8-10. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 82.7 points per game. As for Briggs, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eastmoor Academy will take on the Red Devils at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion-Franklin is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak. As for Briggs, they will be playing at home against the Nubians at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Africentric Early College's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three contests.
