The contest was Burton's third in a row with at least ten points. Cole Boonstra was another key player, putting up 12 points in addition to seven boards and three steals.

Peak to Peak's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.5 points per game. As for Eaton, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7.

Eaton was able to grind out a solid win over Peak to Peak in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 67-58. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Eschmeyer, who went 10 for 21 en route to 28 points and five rebounds.
