The Pensacola Catholic Crusaders were the 49-38 winner over the West Florida Baptist Academy Conquerors when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Pensacola Catholic fell to West Florida Baptist Academy 45-41. Pensacola Catholic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Jackson Pearson was Pensacola Catholic's leading scorer, having posted seven points.
Terius Mason held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.
Stewart Brown was his usual excellent self, scoring 18 points for West Florida Baptist Academy. The team also got some help courtesy of Parker Byrd, who scored ten points along with five rebounds.
Pensacola Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, their win bumped their record up to 14-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pensacola Catholic and Pace will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Pace has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for West Florida Baptist Academy, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Jones Christian Academy at 7:15 p.m.
