The Martinsville Bluestreaks will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Ramsey Rams at 6:00 p.m. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the pair posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.
Martinsville posted their biggest victory yet this season on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 70-37 victory over Urbana University at home. With Martinsville ahead 50-19 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Martinsville relied on the efforts of Kaiden Simons, who scored 21 points along with four steals, and Adam Parcel, who dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Simons has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Victor Morgan, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Ramsey came up short against North Clay/Clay City on Friday and fell 81-68. Ramsey has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Martinsville's victory bumped their record up to 8-14. As for Ramsey, their loss was their third straight at home, which bumped their record down to 3-18.
Martinsville didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Ramsey when the teams last played back in January of 2023, but they still walked away with a 51-45 win.
