There's no place like home for the Destin Sharks, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Thursday. They secured a 59-54 W over Calvary Christian Academy on Tuesday.
Destin's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Tyler Flynt, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds and two steals. Flynt hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. Another player making a difference was Imaran Harris, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.
Destin pushed their record up to 12-11 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.0 points per game. As for Calvary Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 14-4.
Destin will head out on the road to take on the Patriots at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Calvary Christian Academy, they will be playing at home against the Sharks at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Destin focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Tuesday.
