The Crimson Cliffs Mustangs lost against the Cedar Reds back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Crimson Cliffs took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Cedar. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Crimson Cliffs in their matchups with Cedar: they've now lost nine in a row.
Alyssa Whittaker and Kenadee Richey certainly did their best on Tuesday to try and avoid the loss. Whittaker scored four points along with five steals, while Richey scored eight points.
Crimson Cliffs has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season. As for Cedar, the victory (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 11-2.
Crimson Cliffs will head out on the road to face off against Desert Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Desert Hills is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak. As for Cedar, they will be playing at home against Snow Canyon at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Snow Canyon is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
