Deshler is on a three-game streak of home wins, while Brooks is on a three-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Deshler Tigers will take on the Brooks Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Deshler was able to grind out a solid victory over Rogers, taking the game 28-19.
Meanwhile, Brooks can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They really took it to Wilson for the full four quarters, racking up a 63-28 victory on the road. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 42-8.
It was another big night for Garrett Burrough, who rushed for 125 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries. Burrough is on a roll when it comes to rushing yards, as he's now rushed for 100 or more in the last five games he's played. Another player making a difference was Bam Campbell, who rushed for 37 yards and three touchdowns.
Deshler's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Brooks, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.
Deshler strolled past Brooks in their previous matchup back in October of 2022 by a score of 48-32. Will Deshler repeat their success, or does Brooks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
