The South Bend Adams Eagles won the last time they faced the South Bend Clay Colonials, and things went their way on Thursday too. South Bend Adams managed a 36-32 win over South Bend Clay. The win made it back-to-back wins for South Bend Adams.
Maliya Freeman and Delilah Castaneda certainly did their best on Thursday to try and avoid the loss. Freeman scored six points along with ten blocks and nine rebounds, while Castaneda scored 13 points along with three steals. Those ten blocks set a new season-high mark for her.
South Bend Adams has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. As for South Bend Clay, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. South Bend Adams will be staying on the road on December 22nd to face off against NorthWood at 7:45 p.m. on December 22nd. South Bend Clay will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Jimtown at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
