After a string of three wins, The Ben Lomond Scots''s good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They fell just short of Union by a score of 13-10. Ben Lomond was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Union apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September.
Despite the loss, Ben Lomond saw an underclassman step up: Manase Tuatagaloa threw for 224 yards and a touchdown.
Leading Union to victory were rylind wood and Gannon Labrum. wood rushed for 55 yards and a touchdown, while Labrum rushed for 79 yards and a touchdown.
Ben Lomond's defeat dropped their record down to 6-5. As for Union, their win ended a nine-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8.
Ben Lomond does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Union is on the road again on Friday and play against Morgan at 6:00 p.m. on October 27th. Morgan will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
