After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Carver Montgomery, The Wetumpka Indians were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They walked away with a 20-12 win over Lanier. That's another feather in the cap for Wetumpka, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Wetumpka was led to victory by Jamarion Thrasher and Nate Rogers. Thrasher gained 188 total yards and a touchdown, while Rogers rushed for 158 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. Thrasher's longest reception was for an incredible 74 yards.
Wetumpka now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Lanier, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.
Wetumpka will take on Central of Clay County at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Lanier, they will head out on the road to face off against Vigor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
