The Georgiana Panthers and the Leroy Bears squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Georgiana Panthers had to settle for second. Georgiana took a 27-13 bruising from Leroy. Georgiana's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Brayden Huebner looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 109 yards and three touchdowns, while also throwing for 66 yards and a touchdown while completing 73.3% of his passes.
Leroy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB six times. The heavy lifting was done by Sawyer Sullivan and Timothy Parnell who racked up four sacks between them.
Georgiana's loss dropped their record down to 9-3. As for Leroy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 11-0.
Georgiana does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Leroy will face off against Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brantley will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
