The Longmeadow Lancers managed to keep up with the Central Golden Eagles until halftime on Monday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Longmeadow's rough 67-46 defeat to Central might stick with them for a while. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Longmeadow has suffered against Central since January 9, 2020.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Central to victory, but perhaps none more so than Angela Hector, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 15 rebounds. Angalece Quinones was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds.
Longmeadow's defeat dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Central, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.
Longmeadow will stay at home for another game and welcome West Springfield at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. As for Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Northampton at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
