The Central Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Bryant Hornets at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Central sitting on five straight victories and the Hornets on 22.
Last Tuesday, Central faced the Charging Wildcats in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Central came out on top against the Charging Wildcats by a score of 52-41.
Meanwhile, it may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Bryant ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Jonesboro and snuck past 56-54.
Kellen Robinson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 28 points along with two steals. Robinson is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Trent Ford, who scored six points along with two steals.
Central pushed their record up to 20-4 with that victory, which was their sixth straight on the road. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Bryant, their win bumped their record up to 22-2.
Central couldn't quite finish off the Hornets in their previous meeting back in January and fell 47-44. Can Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
