The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Putnam City in their matchups with Edmond Memorial: they've now lost six in a row.
Avery Hjelmstad was the offensive standout of the match as she shot 4-for-7 from long range and dropped a double-double on 26 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Janiyah Williams, who scored 16 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Putnam City's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Edmond Memorial, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
