East has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on The Phoenixville Phantoms at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. East will be strutting in after a win while Phoenixville will be coming in after a defeat.
East owes their defense a big pat on the back after their performance on Friday. They walked away with a 7-0 victory over Henderson.
Coby Jaramillo was the offensive standout of the matchup as he rushed for 93 yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, Phoenixville started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Perkiomen Valley. They took a 28-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Vikings on Friday. Phoenixville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Hayden Tenbroeck, who picked up 137 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 87 yards and a touchdown while completing 100% of his passes. Kevin Kingsbury also helped out as he racked up 100 receiving yards.
East's win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 6-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.0 points per game. As for Phoenixville, their loss dropped their record down to 7-3.
