The Springfield Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Monday. They blew past Independence 82-44 on the road. The win was some much needed relief for Springfield as it spelled an end to their seven-game losing streak.
Rowen Harris went supernova for Springfield, scoring 22 points along with four steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Harris has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Chase Burches, who scored 11 points along with three steals.
Springfield's victory ended a 15-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 8-17. As for Independence, they dropped their record down to 4-14 with that loss, which was their fifth straight at home.
Springfield is on the road again on Thursday and plays the Lions at 7:30 p.m. on February 8th. French Settlement is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games. As for Independence, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Jaguars at 7:30 p.m.
