A 27-26 Belle Vernon victory was the result when the squads faced off last season.
The win was a nice bounce back for BV, which lost to Franklin Regional last week, 35-7. The loss comes after Trinity defeated Laurel Highlands 50-14 last week.
In a WPIAL AAA Big Nine game next week Trinity (3-3) takes on Uniontown, and Belle Vernon (2-4) will go up against Thomas Jefferson also in a WPIAL AAA Big Nine game.
