The Palm Beach Central Broncos are taking a road trip to square off against the Forest Hill Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams each escaped (but just barely!) with wins against their previous opponents.
Palm Beach Central saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Suncoast, sneaking past 4-3. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.
Ernesto Hernandez looked comfortable as he tossed 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Kieran Rivera, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Tre Stropp, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, it was a Battle of the Birds when Forest Hill faced off against Seminole Ridge on Tuesday. The Falcons skirted past the Hawks 7-6.
Yoslanys Martinez made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Martinez was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one double.
In other batting news, Nick Seal was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one stolen base, and one double. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Kevin Blas, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.
Palm Beach Central's record is now 2-0. As for Forest Hill, their record now sits at an identical 2-0.
Palm Beach Central came out on top in a nail-biter against Forest Hill when the teams last played back in April of 2025, sneaking past 7-6. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Broncos since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
