Meanwhile, Ontario Christian was fully in charge on Friday, breezing past Heritage Christian 47-15 at home. With Ontario Christian ahead 34-7 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Ontario Christian's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Hayden Slegers, who threw for 269 yards and two touchdowns while completing 73.3% of his passes. Logan Escoto was another key contributor, rushing for 52 yards and two touchdowns.
Dana Hills' win was their fifth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 33.0 points per game. As for Ontario Christian, their win bumped their record up to 8-2.
