The Westside Seminoles won the last time they faced the Spalding Jaguars, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Westside was the clear victor by a 58-34 margin over Spalding. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Westside.
Westside had a senior duo take command as Marcus Hood scored 16 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals and Chauncey Williams dropped a double-double on 10 points and 11 rebounds. Hood is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Joshua Harden, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds.
Westside now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Spalding, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
Westside will head out on the road to face off against Griffin at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Spalding, they will be playing at home against West Laurens at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. West Laurens is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
