Christ Prep Academy extended their winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Abby Theiss. The Christ Prep Academy Patriots had just enough and edged the Heritage Christian Academy Chargers out 37-35 thanks in part to Theiss, who dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 boards. She is on a roll when it comes to boards, as she's now pulled down ten or more in the last five games she's played.

The team also got some help courtesy of Lydia Hoover, who posted ten points. Those ten points gave her a new career-high.

Heritage Christian Academy's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Mia Vinson, who almost dropped a double-double on 17 points and nine steals, and Ella Grace Gower, who had nine points and five rebounds.

Christ Prep Academy pushed their record up to 6-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 27.8 points per game. As for Heritage Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.

Christ Prep Academy will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Northeast Kansas Nighthawks HomeSchool at 6:45 p.m. on January 6, 2025. Christ Prep Academy has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 3-0 during that stretch of close contests. As for Heritage Christian Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 41-34 loss against Kansas City Christian School on the 20th.
