The Catoosa Indians''s four-game losing streak came to an end on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 49-13 victory over Skiatook on the road. The win was just what Catoosa needed coming off of a 49-14 defeat in their prior contest.
Catoosa was led to victory by Luke Beauchamp and Mike Blendowski. Beauchamp rushed for 172 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries, while Blendowski rushed for 81 yards and four touchdowns on only eight carries. Beauchamp was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 61 yards.
Despite the loss, Skiatook still got an impressive performance from Ian Long, who rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns.
Catoosa's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Skiatook, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Catoosa will take on Wagoner at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Wagoner is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Skiatook, they will look to defend their home field on October 27th against McLain Science & Tech at 7:00 p.m. McLain Science & Tech presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Skiatook in Oklahoma (McLain Science & Tech is ranked 77th, while Skiatook is ranked 200th).
