The Vincennes Lincoln Alices will head out on the road to face off against the Evansville Memorial Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Vincennes Lincoln will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 225th, while Evansville Memorial is ranked 33rd).
Last Saturday, Vincennes Lincoln made easy work of Evansville Harrison and carried off a 43-21 win. The win was just what Vincennes Lincoln needed coming off of a 47-25 loss in their prior match.
Evansville Memorial has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four matchups by 22 points or more this season. They breezed by Evansville Bosse at home to the tune of 60-15. Winning may never get old, but Evansville Memorial sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Avery Kelley was her usual excellent self, scoring 17 points. The game was her eighth in a row with at least ten points. Brynna Alpers was another key contributor, scoring 10 points along with 6 rebounds.
The losses dropped Vincennes Lincoln to 5-6 and Evansville Harrison to 2-9.
Vincennes Lincoln suffered a grim 63-37 defeat to Evansville Memorial in their previous matchup back in December of 2022.
