The Baldwin Bulldogs put another one in the bag on Tuesday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past Louisburg with points to spare, taking the game 60-42. Given Baldwin's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while Louisburg is ranked 174th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Baldwin's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from TALAN TORREZ, who scored 15 points. The contest was TORREZ's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was JOEY ZIEMBICKI, who scored 14 points.
Baldwin's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.7 points per game. As for Louisburg, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
Baldwin will be home for the holidays to greet Spring Hill at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Spring Hill comes in still looking for their first win of the season. Louisburg will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Eudora on January 4, 2024.
