Winamac is 10-0 against West Central since January of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Winamac Warriors will look to defend their home court against the West Central Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Winamac is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.8 points per game this season.
Winamac is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Delphi Community just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Oracles by a score of 50-48. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Warriors have suffered against the Oracles since January 22, 2022.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Brendan Hines, who went 8 of 15 on his way to 20 points and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Ethan Burgess, who went 6 for 9 en route to 14 points and five rebounds.
Meanwhile, West Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 42-37 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pioneer. The contest marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring game so far this season.
Like West Central, they lost despite seeing results from several players. Christian Hughes led the charge by almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Nannenga, who posted eight points in addition to 12 rebounds and three steals.
West Central's defeat dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Winamac, their loss dropped their record down to 9-6.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Winamac has been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 20.9 boards per game. However, it's not like West Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.4 rebounds. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Winamac didn't have too much breathing room in their match against West Central in their previous matchup back in January of 2024, but they still walked away with a 40-35 victory. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was Nannenga, who went 7 of 13 on his way to 20 points and five boards. Now that he's got a second chance to win this matchup, will Winamac still be able to contain Nannenga? There's only one way to find out.
