The Milford Scarlet Hawks will be playing at home against the King Philip Regional Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. King Philip Regional took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Milford, who comes in off a win.
Even though North Attleborough scored an imposing 58 points on Monday, Milford still came out on top. Milford walked away with a 68-58 victory over North Attleborough. Given Milford's advantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while North Attleborough is ranked 309th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Andrew Rivera continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 28 points and 14 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points he has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of CJ Farrell, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 70-39, which was the final score in King Philip Regional's tilt against Attleboro on Monday. King Philip Regional has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Milford's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 8-8. As for King Philip Regional, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-9 record this season.
Milford didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against King Philip Regional in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 48-43 win.
