Softball Recap: Bellaire Makes It Nine in a Row on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Central, Bellaire was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Beaverton Beavers a 15-0 shutout. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 14 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Bellaire's win was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 17-1. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Beaverton, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-12 record this season.

Beaverton didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, an 11-10 loss against Coleman on the 10th. Hopefully Bellaire paid attention to the Beavers' matchup: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Beavers at 9:00 p.m. on Saturday.
