Crown Point not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since April 23, 2024. Everything went their way against the Twin Lakes Indians as they made off with a 13-3 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Bulldogs.

Collin Bodnar looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched.

At the plate, Crown Point got a massive performance out of Caden Matusak, who scored two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Billy Chidsey, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-3.

Crown Point always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Twin Lakes only posted an OBP of .333.

Crown Point now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Twin Lakes, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Crown Point and Twin Lakes will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Bulldogs are set to square off against their familiar foe La Porte at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Twin Lakes will challenge rival Lafayette Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
