The Sequatchie County Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences Patriots at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Sequatchie County focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Friday.
While it was all tied up 25-25 at halftime, Sequatchie County was not quite Grundy County's equal in the second half on Friday. Sequatchie County took a 51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Grundy County. While losing is never fun, Sequatchie County can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 214th, while Grundy County is ranked 81st).
Despite their defeat, Sequatchie County saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Ryker Terry, who scored 17 points, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Beckham Mckendrick, who scored 16 points.
Meanwhile, Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences slipped by St. Andrews-Sewanee 42-41 on Saturday.
Sequatchie County's win lifted them to 4-4 while Grundy County's loss dropped them down to 6-1.
