North Star was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from fifth to third in the league. The Knights vanquished Box Elder 51-28 earlier in the week.
Augusta's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Tyler Hantz threw for 297 and five touchdowns and Garrett Krone had 170 yards receiving. On the ground Krone chipped in 65 yards. Calvin Wearley helped Augusta's passing attack out by catching two balls for 79 yards.
Augusta's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Elks feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Hantz has thrown for 798 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Krone has 21 catches for 395 yards. Krone leads the league in rushing with 487 yards.
The marquee game in Northern 6-Man (6 Man) this week will be the clash between Valier and Big Sandy. The Panthers enters the game ranked sixth in the state, while the Pioneers ranks ninth.
Two of the top units in the league will face off this week when the Elks take on the Bears. Augusta's offense has racked up 136 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Box Elder has allowed only 260 on the year.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when Geraldine/Highwood takes on North Star. The Rivals have allowed 84 points this season, while Steve Simonson's team has given up 91. Geraldine/Highwood allowed 12 points last week as it defeated Heart Butte.
Valier extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Stanford/Geyser, 64-39. This was the team's fourth consecutive win.
