The Wellington-Napoleon Tigers will square off against the St. Paul Lutheran Saints at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, Wellington-Napoleon was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 53-47 to Odessa. Wellington-Napoleon has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Isabelle Miller, who scored 10 points along with 6 rebounds. Kaylin Ellensohn was another key contributor, scoring 9 points.
Meanwhile, St. Paul Lutheran's game on Friday was all tied up 15-15 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They took a 32-23 hit to the loss column at the hands of Christ Prep Academy.
Wellington-Napoleon's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for St. Paul Lutheran, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Wellington-Napoleon came up short against St. Paul Lutheran when the teams last played back in February, falling 35-23. Can Wellington-Napoleon avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
