The Bullock County Hornets will head out on the road to face off against the Montgomery Catholic Knights at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bullock County will be strutting in after a victory while the Knights will be coming in after a loss.
Even though Handley scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, Bullock County still came out on top. Bullock County narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tigers 62-59.
Jaden Taylor had a dynamite game for Bullock County, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten steals. Taylor is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for four games straight. Trevone Palmer was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.
Meanwhile, Montgomery Catholic lost to the Thunderbirds at home by a decisive 63-44 margin on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Montgomery Catholic can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 247th, while the Thunderbirds are ranked 93rd).
Bullock County has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-10 record this season. As for Montgomery Catholic, they now have a losing record at 10-11.
Bullock County came up short against the Knights when the teams last played last Friday, falling 47-37. Can Bullock County avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
