Lake Lure Classical Academy was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-5.
Faith Yelton was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds for The Master's Academy. Yelton is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Sydney Bell was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with 11 rebounds and five steals.
Lake Lure Classical Academy's loss was their eighth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-12. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 14.5 points per game. As for The Master's Academy, their win bumped their record up to 9-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lake Lure Classical Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bethel Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on February 5th. The Master's Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Reynolds Mountain Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 25th. That game will pit two of the most dominant players against one another: Arianna Ritz and Yelton.
