Crossover Prep unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost to the Wilson-Henryetta Tigers at home  by a   42-26 margin on Thursday.
 Several Lions players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was   Bennett Goodson, who threw for 81 yards and three  TDs, and also rushed for 65 yards on only seven carries. Goodson didn't just play on offense: he also picked up  0.5  sacks, forced one fumble,  and made eight total tackles (4.0 for loss). Crossover Prep's leading receiver  Ishod Jordan was  Goodson's top target yet again, picking up 47 receiving yards and a pair of  scores.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crossover Prep will host Caddo  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Wilson-Henryetta, they will look to defend their home field  on September 5 against Destiny Christian  at 7:00  p.m.
