The Edinburgh Lancers are taking a road trip to face off against the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Edinburgh will be strutting in after a victory while Jac-Cen-Del will be coming in after a defeat.
Jac-Cen-Del will be up against a hot Edinburgh team: the squad just extended their winning streak to three. The Lancers put the hurt on Columbus Christian with a sharp 22-8 win on Tuesday.
Cole White was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched 1.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. White was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. That triple was his first of the season.

In other batting news, Ayden Swallows and Milas Burkman did most of the damage at the plate: Swallows got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI, while Burkman got on base in four of his five plate appearances with four runs and two stolen bases. Those four runs gave Burkman a new career-high. Carter Mead-Whited was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.
Edinburgh always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .610. They are 4-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, Jac-Cen-Del might've scored the first runs on Monday, but it was South Ripley who claimed the real prize. The Eagles fell just short of the Raiders by a score of 10-9. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Parker Pindell was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Edinburgh's record now sits at 6-13. As for Jac-Cen-Del, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.
Edinburgh came up short against Jac-Cen-Del in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, falling 7-3. Can the Lancers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
