The Etowah Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Talladega at home and fell 56-16. Etowah was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-8.
Talladega can attribute much of their success to Trinity Webb, who scored 18 points along with 7 steals. Another player making a difference was Kalyria Massingale, who scored 7 points along with 3 steals.
Etowah's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Talladega, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Coincidentally, both teams will both be playing Southside the next time they take the court. Talladega will host Southside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Etowah will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
