On Friday, The Odessa Tigers faced the Almira-Coulee-Hartline Warriors in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Odessa received a tough blow as they fell 32-14 to Almira-Coulee-Hartline. Odessa was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Almira-Coulee-Hartline apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Caden Correia was on fire for Almira-Coulee-Hartline: he rushed for 160 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 122 yards and two touchdowns on only nine passes. Correia was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 66 yards. Max Grindy did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 108 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Odessa's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Almira-Coulee-Hartline, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.
