After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Glynn Academy, Yulee was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Westside Wolverines get on the board and left with a 17-0 victory. The Hornets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by seven runs or more this season.
Braden Valenteen and Alex Davis made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, Valenteen pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Davis tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (five). At bat, Valenteen scored a run while going 1-for-1, while Davis scored a run while going 1-for-2.
