Andrew Jackson had lost five straight on the road, but on Thursday they dropped down to 4-7 to make it six. They came up short against the Bolles Bulldogs, falling 16-3. If the Tigers were looking for revenge after losing 9-5 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.
Taelor Chambliss was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-2 with one home run. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Naturelle Harrision, who got on base in two of her three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
As for Bolles, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.4 runs on average over those games.
On Bolles' side, Maggie Stephens was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits. What's more, Stephens posted five strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-3 with three runs.
In other batting news, Aleda Cashwell was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Leighton Dostie was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Andrew Jackson will be defending their home field for the first time this season when they go up against Raines at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Bolles, they will challenge Orange Park at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
