The Pawhuska Huskies will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Pawnee Black Bears at 8:00 p.m. Pawhuska will be looking to extend their current four-game winning streak.
Last Friday, Pawhuska beat Dewey 36-28.
Trenton Miles was his usual excellent self, almost dropping a double-double on 16 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Pawhuska's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lane Kyler, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds and five assists.
Meanwhile, Pawnee strolled past Newkirk with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 58-43. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Pawnee.
Pawhuska pushed their record up to 12-10 with that win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Pawnee, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-10 record this season.
Pawhuska didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Pawnee in their previous meeting two weeks ago, but they still walked away with a 36-30 win. Does Pawhuska have another victory up their sleeve, or will Pawnee turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
