Baseball Recap: Vision Gets the Win

Vision was forced to take a big defeat against Idaho City on Saturday, they got the better of them on Saturday. Vision was the clear victor by a 21-1 margin over Idaho City. This was a revenge game for Vision: when they faced off against Idaho City on Saturday, they had to take a 20-13 loss.

Kannon Koberlein made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with six stolen bases, three runs, and one double. That double marked the first that he has hit this season.

In other batting news, Dylan Warth was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with five stolen bases, four runs, and two RBI. He continues to improve, besting his previous run total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Payton Williams, who went 2-for-4 with four stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.

Vision always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .692. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Vision's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Idaho City, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-6.

Looking ahead, Vision will head out to face off against Parma at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
