Perryville lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Harmony Grove, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Friday's match. The Mustangs were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Cardinals on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won 11 games by seven runs or more so far this season.

Ainsley Tippen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 14 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-5 with one double and one RBI.

In other batting news, Ella Tolley was a standout: she scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4. Grace Anderson was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Perryville's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Harmony Grove, they moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Perryville will look to defend their home field on Monday against Jessieville at 4:30 p.m. The Mustangs are facing the Lions at the right time seeing as the Lions are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Harmony Grove, they will head out to challenge Genoa Central at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
