Lehigh hasn't had much luck against Lely recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Lightning will be playing in front of their home fans against the Trojans at 7:00 p.m. Lehigh will be strutting in after a victory while Lely will be coming in after a defeat.
Lehigh is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They put the hurt on Cypress Lake with a sharp 10-4 win on Wednesday. The Lightning not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 4, 2025 (when they won 16-6).

Gerald Santana made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Santana was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Lehigh is 2-1 when Santana posts two or more stolen bases, but 0-11 otherwise.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Isais Alvarado, who fired off two triples, three runs, and three RBI while going 4-for-4. Another player making a difference was Bryan Fundora, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, one triple, and one run.
Lehigh was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Lely's offense. They came up short against Naples on Wednesday, falling 6-0.
The victory made it two in a row for Lehigh and bumps their season record up to 2-12. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Lely, their loss dropped their record down to 3-16.
Lehigh suffered a grim 12-2 defeat to Lely in their previous matchup back in March of 2025. Can the Lightning avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
