Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but unfortunately for the Cleburne County Tigers, they weren't the ones who walked away with it. They had to suffer through a rough 44-7 loss at the hands of Jackson. Cleburne County was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-0.
Jackson was led to victory by Ezavier Crowell and Landon Duckworth. Crowell gained 150 total yards, while Duckworth threw for 175 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81.8% of his passes. Crowell has been hot recently, having posted 100 or more rushing yards the last five times he's played.
Cleburne County's loss was their fourth straight at home, which bumped their record down to 4-7. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 10-0 Reeltown and 6-4 Anniston (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 70% over those games). As for Jackson, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 10-0.
Cleburne County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Jackson also has no future games currently scheduled.
