Basketball Recap: Mia Adkins Key Part of a Team Effort in Blazers Win

Clayton-Bradley Academy's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They enjoyed a cozy 61-45 victory over Berean Christian. For the Blazers, this counts as revenge for the 56-53 win Berean Christian walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Clayton-Bradley Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mia Adkins, who posted 27 points in addition to eight boards and six steals. With that strong performance, Adkins is now averaging an impressive 15.1 points per game. Another player making a difference was Emma Bault, who put up 14 points in addition to six assists and five boards.

Clayton-Bradley Academy was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Clayton-Bradley Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Berean Christian, they are on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Clayton-Bradley Academy will host Temple Baptist Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Berean Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Providence Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
