It was another big night for Hallie Turner, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten assists for Briarcrest Christian. That's the first time this season that Turner posted eight or more assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Madeleine Lowrance, who scored seven points along with five steals.
St. Mary's Episcopal's loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Briarcrest Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 12-10 record this season.
St. Mary's Episcopal will head out on the road to take on Hutchison at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Hutchison knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully St. Mary's Episcopal likes a good challenge. As for Briarcrest Christian, they will be playing at home against St. Benedict at Auburndale at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
