After three games on the road, O'Gorman is heading back home. They will take on the Washington Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. O'Gorman will be strutting in after a win while Washington will be coming in after a defeat.
O'Gorman stacked an 11th blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Tuesday. They breezed by Lincoln on the road to the tune of 60-18. Given O'Gorman's advantage in MaxPreps' South Dakota basketball rankings (they are ranked first, while Lincoln is ranked 127th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Washington, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 59-43 loss to Brandon Valley on Tuesday.
O'Gorman pushed their record up to 16-0 with that victory, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Washington, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
O'Gorman strolled past Washington when the teams last played two weeks ago by a score of 50-31. Will O'Gorman repeat their success, or does Washington have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
